Maintenance Mechanic (Technician) – 1st Shift, Milwaukee, WI
RR Donnelley is looking to add a Maintenance Mechanic (Technician) with Manufacturing Maintenance experience to their 1st Shift team.
Shift Schedule:
7:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Responsibilities
Production Support: Respond in a timely manner to all maintenance requests on the production floor and provide training as needed.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Effectively diagnose mechanical, electrical, network, and computer hardware/software issues in assigned area. Make timely and accurate repairs.
Preventative Maintenance: Inspect machines, complete work orders and perform assigned preventative maintenance activities.
Administrative & Housekeeping: Perform inventory control of parts and equipment, record using the proper computer application. Keep work area and equipment clean. Provide training to new technicians.
Qualifications Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Mechanical and/or Electronic courses (Preferred)
Associate degree (Preferred)
Experience
1-3 years of related mechanical and electrical experience (Required)
Electro‑mechanical experience (Required)
Certifications & Licensures
Powered Industrial Truck Certification
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
Ability to organize work, people, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions and multi‑step procedures.
Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language (preferred).
Ability to work a schedule with call‑in and overtime duties.
Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints. Intermediate math skills.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements.
Plans and organizes daily workflow. Must demonstrate good time management skills.
Proficient in performing production equipment preventive maintenance.
Service‑oriented personality.
Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills.
Equipment/Software Utilized: Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet software.
Ideal candidate will have experience with Inventory Software, Manufacturing Software and Order Processing Systems.
Communication and Contacts
Informs leaders and other technicians of pertinent information and frequently communicates to plant personnel and leadership.
Communicates with outside vendors and various suppliers, service and maintenance providers.
Additional Information The salary range for this role at the noted RRD location is $19.00–$27.00 per hour. Starting pay decisions are determined based on multiple factors including but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, skills, experience, certifications, proficiency, performance, shift, location, and other business needs. Depending on the role, in addition to the hourly rate of pay, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call‑in, and/or stand‑by pay.
