What do our Aquatic Technicians do? The primary purpose of this role is to preserve the natural ecological balance of our aquatic ecosystems while providing clients with superior value and expertise.
Responsibilities
Operate a motorboat multiple times throughout the day and attach to assigned vehicle
Treat water for algae, submersed weeds, shoreline weeds, non‑desirable buffer vegetation and any other unwanted vegetation
Obtain water samples to send to the lab for water quality analysis
Provide superior service and fulfill all company contracts, service orders and related customer needs
Remove nuisance, invasive vegetation through manual removal efforts (occasionally)
Work with experienced Aquatic Specialists to gain knowledge on servicing aspects of water body management
Communicate effectively with customers
Essential Job Functions
Follow established procedures and practices
Commit to all health and safety guidelines
Use effective verbal and listening communication skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Mechanically inclined (preferred)
Operate trailers and aquatic vessels (preferred)
Knowledge of aquatic vegetation (preferred)
Perform strenuous physical work (drive, stand, walk, bend, climb, kneel, crouch, etc.)
Lift up to 50 lbs.
What do you need?
High school diploma or GED
1–2 years of experience working independently in an outdoor environment (preferred)
Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
Strong written and verbal skills
Available to work Monday‑Friday and weekends as needed
Valid driver's license from state of residence
Work Conditions
Mostly outdoors; exposure to extreme heat (>100°F) or cold ( Hazardous physical conditions (mechanical parts, vehicles, electricity, heights, scaffolding, chemicals, high heat)
Atmospheric conditions affecting respiratory system (fumes, mold, mist, gas, poor ventilation)
Exposure to animals and insects
Must meet physical requirements or pass medical certification
Must use PPE per OSHA compliance
Base Pay Range Hourly: $18.00 – $27.00. Pay may vary by location, skills, education, experience, overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and assignments.
