This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.
Location: Wichita, KS (On-site)
Key Accountabilities:
Analyzes, plans, and controls the inventory levels, schedules and allocations of manufactured, purchased, and furnished materials
Analyzes and integrates bills of material, master schedules, and resources to determine demand
Troubleshooting business process bottlenecks and following through on their resolution
Authorizes acquisition or manufacture of product to satisfy demand and dispose of residual materials
Coordinates with customers, and manufacturing to monitor and maintain lead time and schedules
Supports business process mapping and execution related to material
Executes earned value management processes for material control accounts
Analyzing material transactions in ERP systems to understand cost impacts and validate proper allocation
Facilitates preparation for government audit requirements
Required Qualifications:
Experience in a Material Management classification / position
Level 3: Bachelor's Degree and 5-10+ years of related material management experience
Level 4: Bachelor's Degree and 10+ years of related material management experience
1+ year of ERP/MRP experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Successful candidates must be able to secure Program access approval
Preferred Qualifications:
Active DoD security clearance
Experience preparing forecasts and performance reports that are presented to director and executive levels of leadership
Computer Skills: Microsoft Excel specifically
Strong knowledge of SAP
Strong understanding of inventory management, inventory planning, production workflows, and/or manufacturing processes
Experience working in a regulated environment

This is a union-represented position.
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: Level 3: $69,550 - $106,600 | Level 4: $69,550 - $106,600
Kansas Tax Credit: Join Spirit AeroSystems’ Kansas team and you may be eligible for a $5,000 state of Kansas Aviation tax credit for up to five years. Click here for more information on the tax credit.
