This role is at Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of The Boeing Company, at Spirit’s Defense Business Unit ("Spirit Defense"). Spirit Defense is an independent supplier to the defense and space marketplace. Through innovative engineering and rapid prototyping excellence, Spirit Defense provides the capabilities, technologies and support customers need to succeed in their missions.
Key Accountabilities
Monitor Spirit for financial compliance with the U.S. Government rules and regulations
Responsible for disseminating current policy and providing advice, ensuring effective EVM implementation on new contracts, analysis of contractor performance reports, facilitating Integrated Baseline Review (IBR), risk assessments, supporting surveillance activities to assess the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) management processes and the reports the system produces
Identify weaknesses and issues and recommend solutions to mitigate and strengthen processes or adherence to the processes as they relate to the EVMS
Remain current on applicable U.S. Government regulations, industry best practices, newsletters, media, and information that support compliance standards
Execute a comprehensive Government Compliance program which includes coaching, formal training, newsletters, and various forms of communication to build, maintain, and improve U.S. Government compliance capability and control
Respectfully challenge any inconsistencies to ensure full compliance, and aggressively address and fix issues
Liaison with the U.S. Government agencies of DCAA and DCMA during their reviews and audits to ensure continued compliance
Ensure continuous improvement by addressing audit findings in subsequent document and training revisions
Conducts Internal Audits of Purchase Orders to ensure Compliance concerns are maintained
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
5-9+ years of related finance experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4-8+ years of related finance experience with a Master’s Degree
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Successful candidates must be able to secure Program Access approval
Preferred Qualifications
Working knowledge of SAP and EVMS tools
An active DoD Security Clearance
Ability to understand and apply U.S. Government regulations and ensure strict adherence to FAR, CAS, and GAAP/SOX requirements
Ability to work with functional and program teams to abide by and follow relevant policies, procedures, and desktop instructions
Ability to identify and remedy inconsistencies within EV data
Ability to educate others on process controls and U.S. Government Compliance requirements
Ability to work with U.S Government auditors in a collaborative and transparent manner
Strong communication, writing, and computer skills
Possess significant Excel skills
Ability to quickly decompose and analyze data
Detail-oriented
Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $71,750.00 - $110,000.00
