Consultant – Head of Water Resources & Existing Infrastructure – Florida

Why This Role Is Exciting As a Senior Stormwater Engineer, you'll take ownership of high‑impact work such as:
Stormwater systems for residential, commercial, and regional land development projects.
Floodplain analyses, compensating storage, and FEMA coordination (LOMR/CLOMR) for critical infrastructure and master‑planned communities.
2D hydraulic modeling to evaluate complex flow dynamics, conveyance systems, and infrastructure impacts.
Regional watershed and flood studies that inform planning, permitting, and resiliency decisions.
BMP selection and design (including nutrient load reduction) to meet evolving standards.
You'll collaborate with project managers, mentor junior staff, and engage directly with clients and review agencies—bringing practical, technically sound solutions to complex or constrained sites.
What We're Looking For
8+ years of experience in stormwater design, hydrology/hydraulics, and permitting.
Bachelor's or Master's in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Active Florida PE license (required).
Extensive knowledge of FEMA, FDEP, and local stormwater regulations.
Proven success leading projects, mentoring engineers, and managing clients.
Strong technical writing, communication, and organization skills; excellent judgment and critical thinking.
Proficiency with advanced stormwater modeling tools and AutoCAD Civil 3D, and experience with:
ArcGIS Pro
HEC‑RAS (1D/2D)
SWMM / ICPR4 / StormWise
HydroCAD / Hydraflow Express
