Department Information The Department of Natural Sciences serves a student body ranging from science majors to students taking science courses for their core curriculum and offers a Bachelor of Science in Biology that prepares students for the modern workplace, graduate school or pre‑professional schools.
Job Summary MGA is seeking a candidate for a tenure‑track Assistant Professor of Biology in the School of Health and Natural Sciences, beginning fall 2026. This position involves teaching, scholarship, and service, with responsibilities that may include day and/or evening, lower‑level and/or upper‑level biology courses, and travel among campuses.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate biology courses, including day, evening, online, and hybrid formats.
Develop curriculum, mentor students, and serve on departmental and university committees.
Participate in scholarship activities and foster student recruitment.
Travel among MGA campuses as required.
Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Biology or a related field.
Special attention to microbiology or organismal biology.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior successful teaching experience.
Experience or interest in supervising undergraduate research.
