Job Description Responsible for assisting the Benefits Coordinator in the administration of benefit programs, medical leaves, workers compensation, and providing support to employees related to their employment benefit needs.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of administrative experience.

Minimum of one year of Human Resources or Benefits experience.

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.

Knowledge of Section 125, ACA, HSA, COBRA, HIPAA, and FMLA.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Exceptional customer service acumen for internal and external stakeholders.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Detail-oriented with a strong sense of urgency and ability to multitask.

Advanced computer skills, including HRIS, Microsoft Office, and G‑Suite.

Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.

Responsibilities

Assist the Benefits Specialist in ensuring the accuracy of all benefits enrollment in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.

Assist employees regarding benefit claim issues and plan changes.

Assist in the distribution of benefit enrollment materials.

Assist employees with enrollment and processing life status changes.

Respond to benefits inquiries from employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollment, status changes, and other general inquiries.

Process and administer leave of absence requests and disability paperwork for all types of leaves (medical, personal, short or long term disability, and FMLA) in collaboration with the Benefits Specialist.

Assist in the Annual Open Enrollment Benefits process.

Analyze, track, and manage the process of monthly reconciliations for all insurance vendors.

Process, assist, and maintain files on employees for all benefit programs.

Assist with the tracking of retiree medical payments.

Comply with all HIPAA requirements, reporting, and serve as a resource for HIPAA educational information.

Assist with the reporting of ACA hours to ensure compliance with ACA regulations.

Manage 403(b) enrollments and changes.

Complete 403(b) paperwork for retirees or other former employees.

Process, report, and track workers’ compensation reports to the insurance agent.

Serve as a point of contact for employees related to workers’ compensation reports and medical needs.

Provide primary contact for the Workers Compensation Insurance Agent for communications related to claims.

Perform other reasonable duties assigned by administration.

Physical Requirements The employee is frequently required to sit, reach with hands and arms, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.

Additional Requirements The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout employment with the Corporation.
