Base Pay Range $13.00/hr - $13.00/hr
Responsibilities
Assist the Director in campus coordination of Civil Rights and Title IX compliance and administration, including prevention and education efforts.
Provide assistance with Title IX response, investigation, and resolution for complaints and reports of discrimination, including sexual harassment and interpersonal violence.
Research and continuously identify best practices for Title IX administration and prevention education for higher education institutions.
Assist in assessing campus culture and climate to develop educational action plans addressing gaps in understanding of anti-violence concepts.
Help develop and implement training, educational and awareness programs for campus and community members, promoting a culture of respect and social justice.
Support peer education and awareness campaigns, including bystander empowerment through the Shepherd Stand Up Don't Stand By Bystander intervention program initiative.
Coordinate Title IX committees, institutional policy, procedure, and response protocols.
Create flyers and disseminate information through social media and other communication channels.
Assist with administrative and office duties.
Maintain strict confidentiality.
Attend and promote professional development opportunities.
Foster collaboration with other departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
Enrollment in the College Student Development and Administration Program at Shepherd University for Fall 2025.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with developing and implementing violence prevention and awareness training and programs.
Understanding of appropriate response, investigation, and resolution to reports of harassment, discrimination, and violence.
Effective problem‑solving, conflict resolution, crisis intervention, and communication skills.
Knowledge of federal guidelines and laws related to Title IX and other civil rights legislation.
Understanding of how federal law translates into institutional policy development and implementation.
