Datacenter Technician – Volt
This position is based in Mesa, AZ and is a full‑time/contract role.
Responsibilities
Racking and stacking servers in a data center environment
Replace failed fans, motherboards, CPUs, hard drives, DIMMs, cache batteries and other related server hardware
Upgrade system firmware and software as needed
Work closely with application teams for day‑to‑day support issues, break/fix issues and scheduled maintenance
Monitor and track all activity in the ticketing system
Ticket triage and escalation to the appropriate level
Work with hand tools
Maintain server build and release SLAs
Configure OS and network in a Unix/Linux environment
Troubleshoot Cat6 Ethernet and Fiber Optic connections
Qualifications
Knowledge of Cat6 and/or Fiber networking standards
Unix/Linux command‑line experience (must be able to check configuration settings or perform troubleshooting)
Advanced Unix/Linux system administration is a plus
Scripting experience
Mac OS experience
Deep understanding of networking standards and configuration
Multi‑meter and oscilloscope experience is a plus
Any networking or computer certifications are a plus
Commitment to excellence and high standards
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to multitask and manage priorities
Ability to work with minimal supervision
High degree of professionalism
Pay Rate $19‑$20 per hour
(range based on experience, certifications, location, and specific duties).
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate’s education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
