Job Summary This position will be responsible for conducting research on the cold hardiness of fruit crop as well as the development of flowers and other physiological considerations for floral growth and development. This will entail sample collection and prep, Microscopy, using sensor and automation as instrumentation to carry out experiments, data tabulation and analysis. Students will also be encouraged to present research findings.
Responsibilities
Conduct research on the cold hardiness of fruit crops
Collect and prepare samples
Perform microscopy and use sensors/automation instrumentation
Tabulate and analyze data
Present research findings
Qualifications
Ability to work independently on tasks as part of a larger team
Excellent communication skills
Biological Science majors preferred
Preferred Education / Experience Any Biological Science majors preferred.
Leadership Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No
