Instructional Support Specialist – Downingtown (RF: 3236)

We are currently seeking Instructional Support Specialists for full-time positions in the Downingtown, PA area. There are also openings in the Norristown, West Chester, and Landenberg areas. In this role, you will assist classroom teachers in supporting students’ academic, social, and behavioral needs, including providing one-on-one support and implementing basic educational programming. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm. Eligible candidates must have a HS Diploma and up-to-date clearances.
Qualifications
Must have a High School Diploma
An Associate’s Degree or completion of two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college or university is preferred
Experience working in a special education or behavioral healthcare setting with students with severe/complex behavioral/emotional issues preferred.
Must have up-to-date PA Clearances
FBI Fingerprints, PA Criminal Background, PA Child Abuse, Act 24, Act 168, Mandated Reporter
Responsibilities
Guide and support students as they work toward their individualized goals
Actively engage students in classroom activities, fostering learning and growth
Ensure a safe, healthy, and welcoming environment where students can thrive
Collaborate in designing, implementing, and tracking programs that promote students’ social, emotional, physical, and personal development
