The Quick Serve Team Member position is a key role within Dining Services, working at Abel Dining Center in a rapid‑serve, made‑to‑order concept that relies on a mobile ordering platform.
Key Responsibilities
Provide excellent customer service to guests.
Perform all kitchen duties: ingredient and food preparation, inventory, cooking and assembling orders, setting up and closing stations, dish machine operation and cleaning.
Build orders according to established processes, procedures, guidelines, and recipes.
Monitor food quality, presentation, and control food waste.
Assist in other areas as needed and other duties assigned.
Minimum Required Qualifications
High school education plus at least one year of experience in a work environment (equitability considered).
Ability to read, write, weigh, and measure food items.
Flexibility, strong communication, and teamwork.
Food Handler’s permit or ability to obtain by passing the Safety and Sanitation test.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.
