The Workshop LA
A prominent contemporary women's apparel brand with a strong denim and RTW assortment is seeking an experienced West Coast Account Manager to own and grow their wholesale business across the West Coast. This role is fully responsible for managing the LA showroom from start to finish, overseeing seasonal sample collections, and driving growth across 22 West Coast states.
You will be the primary point of contact for all West Coast accounts, managing both pre-book and in-season business while building long-term, high-impact partnerships.
The ideal candidate is confident operating independently, thrives without hand-holding, and brings a strong understanding of the premium women’s contemporary marketplace. Existing relationships with key retailers in women's contemporary and similar accounts are highly valued.
This role is a hybrid opportunity (3 days on site) and the office is based in Downtown LA.
Key Responsibilities
Own and grow the West Coast wholesale business with a clear focus on revenue, profitability, and long-term account development
Manage the LA showroom end-to-end, including seasonal visuals, merchandising, and presentation of collections
Oversee and manage the West Coast showroom assistant
Lead all day-to-day operations for West Coast accounts, acting as the main point of contact for customer service and account needs
Drive pre-book appointments, in-season selling, and regional growth initiatives
Manage LA Market as well as all West Coast regional markets and road appointments
Take full ownership of the business by anticipating needs, identifying opportunities, and proactively driving results
Manage off-price business in alignment with overall distribution strategy
Oversee RTV inventory, sample sales, and inventory flow for the region
Collaborate closely with the New York–based Sales Director and cross‑functional partners
Requirements
5+ years of wholesale sales experience within the premium women’s contemporary market
Strong, established relationships with West Coast buyers and key specialty retailers
Self‑directed, proactive, and comfortable working independently in a remote reporting structure
Strong communication skills with a natural ability to build and maintain relationships
Highly detail‑oriented with strong organizational and problem‑solving skills
Willingness and ability to travel for markets and road appointments
Flexibility to work early hours when needed due to overseas headquarters (including occasional 7 a.m. calls)
