Research Development Coordinator

Department The Research Development (RD) team within the Office of Research seeks to fill the position of Research Development Coordinator, Science & Technology. This person will be a critical member of the RD Team and will work with faculty to develop new research teams, foster innovative project ideas, and craft competitive proposals.
Responsibilities
Perform proposal development activities for Science & Technology/STEM, identify opportunities, assess needs, and provide proposal services for small proposals (1‑3 PIs) including editing and mock reviews.
Lead the production of large, multidisciplinary proposals and assist with projects outside the discipline area.
Create budgets as needed for proposals.
Provide training and kickoff workshops for the specialty area, delivering at least two workshops per semester.
Collaborate with RD staff on special projects such as collaboration activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience, or a combination of post‑high‑school education and experience equal to six years.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or Ph.D. degree in a science and technology discipline.
Federal grants experience in research development or research administration.
Additional Information This position will report to the Program Director for Proposal and Research Development.
The RDC will work with faculty across the FSU College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Communication and Information, the FAMU‑FSU College of Engineering, the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory, and several other prestigious institutes and centers.
