VISTA Finance and Operations Coordinator – Center for Black Women’s Wellness (CBWW)
The mission of the CBWW is to improve the health and well‑being of underserved Black women and their families. The proposed AmeriCorps VISTA Project – Wellness Capacity Builders – aligns with the CNCS Programming Priority Area of Healthy Futures: Access to Care. The VISTA Finance and Operations Coordinator will provide administrative operational support to enhance the organizational infrastructure that supports our programs and projects. Knowledge of operational best practices and acceptable accounting practices specific to non‑profit program management are essential.
Member Duties
Assess and meet the recruiting, placement and retention needs of the CBWW volunteer program.
Promote volunteering through publicity strategies and campaigns.
Work with outreach to organize profile‑raising events to attract new volunteers.
Develop systems to track volunteer attendance.
Create and implement a volunteer monitoring and evaluation process.
Ensure volunteers are mentored and supported in their role.
