What You’ll Do on the A-Team
Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction with visitors, customers and employees through constant communication during and beyond the color approval process.
Assists customer with concierge services as needed within the building and occasional transportation to and from the office.
Methodically inspects quality copies post color ok to detect print issues and quality defects, including, but not limited to proper job line, exact color, folds, paper problems and marking issues.
Troubleshoots quality problems in any stage of the project process as assigned; notify and thoroughly communicate to press supervisors any printing, equipment or manning issues before ceasing any production.
Provides technical and statistical expertise to the sample process, including locating new samples as needed. Investigates all issues until satisfactory samples are achieved and escalates sample issues to Quality Control Manager.
Recommends procedures to ensure color consistency across press or production platform.
Provides online inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and technical integrity. Responsible for initiating the Chain of Custody for quality copies.
Audits and reports press time pulls for all presses on a monthly basis; applying total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
What You’ll Need
Minimum of three to five years related printing experience working with color OK’s and customers.
Preferred experience in a quality control environment.
Working knowledge of web-offset press, premedia, and finishing operations.
Seeking a candidate with strong results and detail orientation skills.
Ideal candidates will show self‑motivation and a goal‑driven personality with a commitment to continuous improvement.
Ability to work flexible hours as determined by Quality Control Manager.
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Physical Demands
Frequent sitting.
Frequent use of hands to type, finger, handle, grasp or touch objects and tools.
Frequently required to talk or listen.
Occasional standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, reaching.
Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
