A leading media company based in Los Angeles is seeking a business-minded, proactive Staff Accountant to join the team and support financial accuracy & business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and monthly financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
Manage AP/AR processes, including invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
Perform bank reconciliations, journal entries, and assist with month-end close.
Support tax filings and liaise with external auditors during annual audits.
Monitor inventory and sales data to identify discrepancies and coordinate with logistics for timely fulfillment.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities to support business decisions.
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of accounting experience
Strong understanding of US GAAP and month-end close processes.
Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments.
