Base pay range: $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr
Summary The Payroll Administrator will be responsible for processing accurate and timely payrolls using ADP, ensuring compliance with multi-state and union regulations, and managing certified payroll reporting.
Essential Functions
Process weekly payrolls using ADP Workforce Now.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations across multiple states.
Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with prevailing wage requirements.
Manage union payroll reporting, including dues, benefits, and other deductions.
Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Collaborate with HR and Accounting departments to ensure accurate employee records and reporting.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.
Education & Experience
Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in a multi-state and unionized environment. Construction industry experience is highly preferred.
Knowledge and Abilities
Knowledge of multi-state union reporting, including payment of fringe benefits and dues.
Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems.
Strong understanding of certified payroll requirements and prevailing wage laws.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience with Excel and other reporting tools.
Physical Requirements
Lift, carry, pull and push at least 40 pounds.
Travel per the company travel policy, often overnight and away from home.
