Our client is currently seeking a qualified
Field Service Technician
to join their team and provide end‑user support. This tech will support locations in Greensboro, High Point, Lexington, Asheboro, and Salisbury, NC. This role requires strong customer service skills, the ability to work independently, and the professionalism to represent the team and brand with excellence.
As a Field Service Technician, you will troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain IT hardware and POS systems used throughout operations. You will handle technical tasks with urgency, accuracy, and high‑quality documentation. Ideal candidates are self‑starters with strong time‑management abilities and a passion for delivering best‑in‑class technical support.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide onsite IT and data support for retail environments, resolving hardware, software, and network‑related issues
Troubleshoot and repair POS systems, registers, printers, scanners, workstations, networking equipment, and related technology
Perform equipment installations, upgrades, maintenance, and replacements
Respond promptly to service requests, ensuring minimal downtime for store operations
Use clear communication—both verbal and written—to maintain a professional relationship with store personnel and management teams
Document all work performed, including troubleshooting steps, resolutions, device details, and ticket updates
Perform site walk‑throughs and assessments, identifying issues and recommending solutions
Manage workload independently, meet deadlines, and complete assignments efficiently—even ahead of schedule when possible
Follow all company, client, and safety protocols while working onsite
Wage Range The rate for this position is between $17.00 - $20.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
