Our client is currently seeking a qualified
Field Desktop Technician
to join their team
based in Greensboro, NC
to support customer sites within a (75) mile radius. This role will support troubleshooting laptops, desktops printer, receipt printers, check scanners etc. The Technician must have a reliable vehicle, valid drivers license, and clean MVR. Mileage will be paid to cover transportation expenses. Duties and Responsibilities:
Diagnose mechanical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures
Manage triage, troubleshooting and resolution to client scope on IT equipment
Familiar with various operating systems (e.g. Windows OS)
Perform service, repair and/or installation of computer products including system hardware, PC's, laptops, and printers
Follow-up with end users to provide status updates as per service level guidelines (SLA's)
Document efforts, issues and resolutions, close cases/tickets daily
Use ServiceNow to schedule work, update tickets and resolve tickets accordingly
Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 1 to 2+ years of IT technical support experience
Hands on Break-Fix and IMAC / Project experience
Sound understanding of customer support, operations, and processes
Exceptional Customer Service and relationship building competence
Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally, with the customers and in ServiceNow
Ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality
Working knowledge of Windows operating systems, networks, databases and network security concepts and tools is required
CompTIA A+ certification preferred
Net+ CompTIA certification preferred
Wage Range:
The rate for this position is between
$17.50 - $25.31 per hour.
Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Benefits:
