What You’ll Do
Design mechanical systems using Onshape and SolidWorks
Create detailed part and assembly models, drawings, and documentation
Engineer mechanisms involving servomotors, pneumatics, gears, bearings, cams, weldments, and linkages
Work with CNC machined parts, laser/waterjet parts, bent sheet metal, and fabricated assemblies
Build and test prototypes, integrate actuators, and iterate on designs
Work closely with controls engineers and fabricators to bring animatronic and robotic systems to life
Perform tolerance analysis, load cases, material selection, and safety/rigging considerations
Support installation, FAT/SAT testing, and field adjustments when needed
Contribute to a fun, collaborative engineering culture with a positive, “let’s figure it out” mindset
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
Strong proficiency in Onshape or SolidWorks
Experience in machine design, robotics, automation, or kinematic mechanisms
Understanding of bearings, linkages, weldments, rivets, fasteners, and manufacturability
Hands‑on ability to build, assemble, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems
A motivated problem solver with a good attitude and the ability to communicate clearly
Bonus: experience in animatronics, show action equipment, or themed entertainment
