You will develop and grow your own practice with support from your branch team, a home‑office team, and other regional advisors. Edward Jones' compensation and benefits package includes medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, voluntary benefits (such as accident, hospital indemnity, and critical illness), disability income continuation, basic life, and basic AD&D coverage. Retirement planning options include a 401(k) plan and tax‑advantaged accounts: health savings account and flexible spending account. Key Responsibilities
Build relationships to create new clients via face‑to‑face and virtual sourcing strategies (residential, business, networking, introductions and referrals, social media, and speaking engagements).
Deeply understand clients’ and prospective clients’ needs, priorities, and concerns to accelerate trust and create personalized, comprehensive strategies.
Oversee branch processes, roles, and responsibilities to ensure a high‑quality, streamlined client experience consistent with firm policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and ethical guidelines.
Engage the branch team to create, monitor, and adjust the branch business plan to increase effectiveness and achieve desired business results.
Create a highly engaging environment in the branch of mutual trust, respect, feedback and accountability.
Skills and Qualifications Successful financial advisors demonstrate a unique combination of ambition, self‑motivation, and commitment to establishing long‑term client relationships. They grow the business through identifying and creating new clients and deepening relationships with existing clients by reviewing investment strategies.
An interest in financial services/markets and how they work
Love of learning and challenges, including determination to succeed
Skilled in long‑term relationship building
Comfortable thinking critically
Passion for new opportunities
A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred OR equivalent work‑related experience within the securities/financial services industry
Financial services and/or sales experience
Financial services registration, licensing, or certification
Professional and/or military career progression
Licensing
SIE (obtainable without firm sponsorship), Series 7 and Series 66 required; if not currently registered, registrations may be obtained at Edward Jones during the assigned paid study period.
FINRA registrations required within three months; state insurance licenses will be required.
Ongoing training with the firm and regulatory authorities (FINRA and SEC) and required CE training to keep licenses in good standing.
