All About Small Formats We enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuring product is in stock, available, and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor in our smallest format stores. The team is responsible for cashiering, stocking, presentation and price accuracy, and for providing exceptional guest service.

Typical Responsibilities
Plan and execute daily/weekly workload to meet sales goals and guest engagement
Model, train and coach team members to deliver service standards
Ensure product is in stock, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor
Maintain inventory accuracy and execute product arrangement, pricing, and promotion signing processes
Assign daily tasks to team members based on workload and guest traffic patterns
Work schedule that aligns to guest and business needs, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Review reporting, identify gaps and develop plans to resolve them with guidance from leader
Lead pick, pack and ship fulfillment work if applicable
Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest‑centric team
Participate in team onboarding and learning
Help close knowledge and skill gaps through training and experiences
Establish clear goals and hold team members accountable
Demonstrate inclusivity, authenticity and respect
Maintain safety and compliance culture, identify hazards, and respond to incidents
Model physical security processes and support merchandise protection strategies
Follow safe and secure training and processes
Address all store emergency and compliance needs
Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU) and Drive‑Up (DU) while maintaining compliance with alcohol laws
Greet guests and engage to help solve their needs, and thank them for choosing Target
Perform additional duties as needed by business requirements

Basic Requirements
Must be at least 18 years old or older
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous retail experience preferred but not required
Lead and hold others accountable
Adopt current technology needs
Work independently and as part of a team
Prioritize tasks and manage workload
Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and teammates
Effective communication skills
Remain focused and composed in fast‑paced environment
Communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and technology equipment as directed
Additional Expectations
Access all areas of building to respond to guest or team member issues
Interpret instructions, reports and information accurately
Handle cash register operations accurately
Climb up and down ladders
Move merchandise efficiently and safely, lifting up to 15 pounds routinely and up to 44 pounds occasionally
Work flexible schedule with reliable and prompt attendance
Operate in varying temperatures, humidity and other elements while performing job duties such as Drive‑Up, carryout, etc.
Remain mobile for entire shift
