This is a Sales and Operations Support role.

Up to $36 an hour.

Our client is seeking a Sales Operations Supervisor to lead daily sales support activities while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and exceptional service across the sales operations function. This role oversees Sales Assistants, coordinates critical order-to-invoice workflows, and provides the reporting and operational oversight needed to support internal teams and customer requirements. The ideal candidate brings a blend of supervisory experience, strong operational judgment, and a hands‑on approach to managing sales support processes.

Responsibilities

Supervise day‑to‑day sales support functions, ensuring orders, invoicing, delivery updates, and customer communications are completed accurately and on schedule.

Provide direct oversight, coaching, and development for Sales Assistants, supporting performance management and skills growth.

Review team output for compliance, data accuracy, and adherence to internal standards and customer requirements.

Manage workload distribution and adjust assignments to maintain efficiency and balanced team operations.

Serve as the primary escalation point for customer, vendor, or workflow issues requiring leadership attention.

Coordinate order requirements using internal systems, including delivery tracking, documentation routing, and change order processing.

Oversee preparation of credits, debits, claims, lien releases, and other sales support documents.

Ensure timely, accurate billing through invoice validation, shipment processing, vendor payments, and account reconciliation.

Prepare monthly job status updates, billing summaries, and account reports to support management decisions.

Generate performance metrics and process‑improvement recommendations based on team accuracy, turnaround times, and workload data.

Maintain organized records, job files, bid archives, and document workflows across assigned systems.

Enter and proof bid information prior to release and maintain bid documentation with a high level of accuracy.

Support cross‑functional teams, including sales, logistics, operations, and credit, by providing timely updates and coordinated documentation.

Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects aligned with departmental and business priorities.

Qualifications

5+ years of progressive experience in sales support, logistics coordination, or operational roles, preferably within building materials, distribution, or similar industries.

2+ years of supervisory or lead experience, including training, coaching, and workload management responsibilities.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with the ability to build reports, analyze data, and reconcile accounts.

Demonstrated ability to streamline processes, improve workflow accuracy, and introduce operational efficiencies.

Familiarity with lien releases, claims processes, and industry‑specific compliance practices.

Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.

Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, especially when preparing invoices, reviewing documentation, or resolving discrepancies.

Effective conflict‑resolution and problem‑solving capabilities, with a professional approach to managing escalations.

Ability to collaborate across sales, operations, logistics, and credit teams while maintaining strong customer and vendor communication.

Comfortable preparing routine and ad hoc management reports with clarity and accuracy.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

Ability to handle confidential information discreetly and work extended hours when deadlines require.

Salary: $31-$36/hr. + Bonus (DOE)
