Job Summary
Modern Construction and Facilities Maintenance is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to lead growth across our facilities maintenance and construction services. Pay & Benefits Base Pay Range: $75,000–$125,000 per year.
Commission: Variable, based on performance, with On‑Target Earnings up to $125,000.
Hybrid remote schedule after a settling‑in period.

Responsibilities
Identify new construction and maintenance opportunities and target clients including developers, property managers, and architects.
Drive new business through prospecting, networking, and cold outreach, managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to onboarding.
Build and maintain relationships with multi‑site clients to ensure consistent service and scalable growth.
Develop national sales strategies targeting regional and multi‑location accounts.
Partner with operations and account teams to onboard clients and implement retention strategies.
Collaborate across departments to develop and present tailored, profitable proposals.
Develop and manage social media strategy and content across digital platforms to enhance brand visibility and drive engagement.
Manage company presence at trade shows and industry events.
Oversee creation and updates of marketing materials and digital content.
Maintain accurate CRM data for clients, prospects, and pipeline.
Optimize CRM workflows and reporting to improve team efficiency.
Integrate CRM with service platforms to streamline onboarding and tracking.
Utilize tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics, Procore, ServiceTrade, FMX, and UpKeep.
Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.
Identify growth markets and build strategic partnerships with national firms.
Tailor approaches for client segments including retail, healthcare, and education.
Deliver accurate forecasts, pipeline reports, and marketing performance insights.
Track KPIs including client acquisition, retention, and service expansion.
Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of proven success in business development, sales, or account management, with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
Familiarity with construction trades, facilities maintenance, general contracting, architecture, or related professional services is highly desirable.
Strong proficiency in presentation software and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience using and managing CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Zoho CRM, or Microsoft Dynamics for sales tracking and reporting.
Highly motivated, results‑oriented, strategic thinker, and strong collaborator.
Ability and willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.
