The Role The
Construction Superintendent
is responsible for managing all day‑to‑day field operations on assigned projects. This role owns jobsite execution from mobilization through completion, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and schedules.
The Superintendent works closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, inspectors, and owner representatives to keep projects moving forward and resolve issues as they arise. This position requires strong field judgment, organization, and the ability to lead trade partners with professionalism and authority.
Key Responsibilities
Lead daily onsite construction activities from start through project close‑out
Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and onsite crews
Enforce jobsite safety standards and promote a culture of safety leadership
Develop and maintain short‑term schedules and daily work plans
Ensure work is executed in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
Conduct subcontractor coordination meetings and daily huddles
Work closely with Project Managers on schedule updates, change conditions, and field issues
Review drawings and specifications to proactively identify conflicts or constructability concerns
Track manpower, productivity, and site progress
Maintain daily logs, inspections, and required jobsite documentation
Coordinate inspections and maintain compliance with local authorities and requirements
Maintain an organized, professional, and productive jobsite environment
What This Role Requires
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent or field leader in commercial or industrial construction
Experience managing ground‑up construction and renovation projects
Strong understanding of sequencing, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proven commitment to jobsite safety and quality workmanship
Strong communication skills with subcontractors, owners, and internal teams
Organized, decisive, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment
Willingness to be fully onsite and hands‑on in the field
Competitive base salary based on experience, between $110,000 and $140,000
