Concrete Batch Plant Operator
At American Concrete Products we manufacture precast pieces for the rail roads and the commercial industry.
We are looking to hire a Concrete Batch Plant Operator.
This position works 8 to 12 hours daily with overtime available and is Monday‑Friday with some Saturdays mandatory depending on production needs.
Responsibilities
Operate computerized batching systems to produce concrete mixes according to approved precast mix designs
Accurately weigh, batch, and mix cement, aggregates, water, admixtures, pigments, and fibers as required
Coordinate closely with precast production, quality control, and plant supervision to meet production schedules
Adjust mix designs as directed to accommodate environmental conditions, product requirements, and quality specifications
Monitor moisture levels, temperatures, and material properties to ensure consistency and compliance
Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and preventive maintenance on batching and mixing equipment
Troubleshoot batching, mechanical, or control system issues and notify maintenance or management as needed
Maintain accurate batch records, production logs, and material inventory data
Monitor raw material inventory and communicate supply needs to prevent production delays
Follow all safety, environmental, and company policies, including proper use of PPE
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe batching and mixing area
Requirements
Previous experience in a precast concrete plant or concrete batching operation preferred
Knowledge of precast concrete mix designs, materials, and quality requirements preferred
Experience with automated batching systems and production software
Some maintenance experience a plus
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to read and interpret mix designs, production schedules, and equipment manuals
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a manufacturing/industrial environment
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks as required
