Job Purpose Seeking a dedicated individual with the desire to learn and build a career while exceeding the highest quality of safety standards. This position will control production and load out of material produced in a ready-mix concrete plant. Individual will operate the process according to customer specifications and delivery schedules while ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.

Job Duties

Accurately batch concrete using computerized batch system.

Input mix designs, adjust moisture content, and add admixtures as required.

Monitor aggregate and cement weights, water/cement ratios, and slump/admixture dosages.

Maintain time and material records.

Schedule and ensure timely delivery of oil, fuel, aggregates, admixtures, and supplies to the plant.

Start up and/or shut down the plant daily.

Responsible for efficient working condition of plant equipment.

Perform routine service and maintenance.

Responsible for daily plant inspections, repair, and maintenance.

Assist plant management with on-site leadership and coordination for employees, drivers, and customers.

Assist in the performance of scheduled safety meetings.

Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.

Properly follow all company policies and regulations for safe working procedures and environment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

Minimum of 2-4 years of related experience (construction background desired): or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Previous experience in operating various types of heavy mobile equipment is preferred.

Experience with mechanical repairs, accurate math skills and communications skills are required.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills, with the desire to seek solutions.

Ability to maintain composure in all situations.

Must be a strong team player and gain the trust and support of peers.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions and is exposed to airborne particles. The employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
