Two Technical Inspectors (Plumbing) – Afternoon Shift Only (12pm – 8pm)

Responsibilities
Interpret complex plans and specifications; confers with Engineers, Architects and Project Officers.
Assist & advise Project Management, Expediters, applicants, contractor/sub-contractors and Construction Managers.
Prepare detailed inspection reports that are transmitted to the Project Officers.
Maintain computerized records of files & reports on the progress of projects (i.e., CIP and line).
Inspect field construction sites/facilities to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards and make checks of work in progress.
Make periodic visits to projects and make final inspection of completed work.
Maintain updated information on all relevant codes, specifications, State and local laws, etc.
Review regulatory documents required for the closeout process. Assist Plan Examiners/Engineers to achieve signoffs.
Occasionally attend training in inspection techniques relating to acceptability of materials, methods, and work performed.
Review laboratory tests to ensure that materials meet specifications; perform inspections.
Perform related duties.
Minimum Qualifications
NYC Master Plumber’s License.
Eight years of relevant building construction experience, four years must have been working in plumbing.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $81,878 – $138,598, dependent upon experience.
