Base pay range $120,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Design Plumbing and Fire Protection systems from concept through construction documentation.
Prepare calculations for water, gas, sanitary/sewer, and storm loads.
Conduct field surveys and evaluate existing building conditions.
Develop drawings, specifications, and all design phases (schematic through construction administration).
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and city agencies.
Manage multiple projects concurrently and ensure timely delivery.
Review shop drawings and actively participate in project meetings.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Plumbing and/or Fire Protection design.
Minimum 3 years of NYC-specific design experience.
In-depth knowledge of NYC Building Codes, NYC Energy Conservation Code, and filing requirements.
Familiarity with utility company filing procedures.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus).
Knowledge of NFPA-13, NFPA-13R, and hydraulic calculations.
Experience with DEP cross‑connection and site connection submissions strongly preferred.
Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
