Billing Specialist
to support our Crisis Programs in Virginia. Key Responsibilities
The
Billing Specialist
ensures accurate and timely revenue for our Crisis Programs by managing day‑to‑day billing, reconciliation, and claims activities across internal and external systems. This position reviews and resolves claim errors, investigates unpaid or denied claims, partners closely with program staff, leadership, and managed care organizations to support clean claims, and reduces denials. The role also supports financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvement efforts, using data and analytics to strengthen billing practices and support the programs. Schedule & Training
This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am–5:00 pm. Training will be conducted in a hybrid format, with three days onsite in Woodbridge, VA and two days working remotely. Following the training period, the role may transition to a fully remote schedule based on performance. Benefits & Compensation

Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing EHR systems, with a strong preference for at least 2 years of experience billing Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and MCOs. Skills: Proficiency in EOB interpretation and strong technical aptitude. Maintain a valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance. How to Apply
