Billing Specialist
to support our Crisis Programs in Virginia.
Your Role in Our Mission The
Billing Specialist
plays a key role in ensuring accurate and timely revenue for our Crisis Programs by managing day‑to‑day billing, reconciliation, and claims activities across internal and external systems. This position reviews and resolves claim errors, investigates unpaid or denied claims, and partners closely with program staff, leadership, and managed care organizations to support clean claims and reduce denials. The role also plays a hand in financial reporting, budgeting, and process improvement efforts, using data and analytics to strengthen billing practices and support the programs.

This position follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 am–5:00 pm. Training will be conducted in a hybrid format, with three days onsite in Woodbridge, VA and two days working remotely. Following the training period, the role may transition to a fully remote schedule based on performance.

What We’re Looking For
Education: Minimum of a high school diploma
Experience: Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing EHR systems, with a strong preference for at least 2 years of experience billing Medicaid, Medicare, private insurance, and MCOs
Skills: Proficiency in EOB interpretation and strong technical aptitude
Maintain a valid driver’s license, good driving record and current auto insurance
