Key Responsibilities
Support day-to-day accounting operations as a Staff Accountant, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
Assist with preparation and maintenance of financial statements and internal reporting packages
Work with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial data flow
Maintain general ledger accuracy and support audit processes
Review and reconcile accounts to ensure compliance with internal policies
Support senior leadership with special projects and analytical tasks as a Staff Accountant
Collaborate with the tax, finance, and operations teams to enhance process efficiencies
Ensure timely and accurate documentation as part of the Staff Accountant responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of accounting experience (insurance industry experience is a plus)
Strong understanding of GAAP and core Staff Accountant responsibilities
Proficiency in Excel and general ledger systems
Business Central experience is a PLUS
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and ability to prioritize
Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing accounting team
Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow as a Staff Accountant
