Job Summary The Cost Accounting Analyst at Soules Foods performs cost analysis related to production costs and margins for all items produced by the company and provides support with the evaluation of processes with the intention of reducing the overall production costs and increasing profit margins.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business or related field.
1 – 3 years of experience with cost account analytics.
Proficiency with Excel and other Microsoft Office suite products
Familiarity with the basic cost accounting principles and procedures.
Strong attention to detail, problem solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Solid project management, multi‑tasking, and prioritization skills.

Work with R&D, Product Development, and Costing Team to evaluate current Cost to Produce and New Item evaluations
Track production costs and activity and provide insight into areas that need cost reductions, process improvements or profit improvements.
Assist with the analysis of all material usage, labor costs and pounds per hour.
Analyze sales data to support reports that outline low margins and higher than expected production costs.
Work with Finance Team to Monitor Obsolete and Non‑Existing Inventory.
Work Environment This job is carried out in a professional office setting and involves using standard office equipment like laptops, desk phones, and smartphones. Regular visits to production facilities may also be required. During those visits, the employee is occasionally exposed to cold and/or humid conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, cold temperatures, and electrical shock and vibration risks. The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
Physical Demands Employees must be able to stand, walk, or sit; use their hands for tasks; reach with their arms; and communicate verbally. Occasional lifting or moving of objects is necessary, along with close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
