Billing Specialist
– Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid schedule)
Base pay range: $75,000 – $100,000 per year.
Job Details The Billing Specialist supports the Revenue Cycle Operations function by managing client invoicing and work‑in‑process (WIP) for a portfolio of partners. This role requires a balance of detailed execution and ownership of the overall billing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the full WIP lifecycle for assigned partners, from review through final client invoicing
Preparing, processing, and issuing accurate and timely bills in accordance with client agreements and internal guidelines
Monitoring WIP inventory and proactively addressing issues that may impact billing timelines
Developing strong working relationships with partners, clients, and internal stakeholders
Gaining a deep understanding of assigned partners’ billing preferences, client requirements, and service expectations
Serving as a primary point of contact for billing‑related inquiries and providing clear, timely updates
Leading billing issue resolution by coordinating with appropriate teams and developing effective solutions
Maintaining detailed documentation of billing status, open items, and action plans
Analyzing WIP and billing data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvement
Recommending enhancements to billing workflows, processes, and systems
Providing support and backup to colleagues as needed
Performing additional duties and special projects as assigned
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, required
Strong aptitude for learning new systems and technologies
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, SUMIF, and pivot tables, preferred
