Senior Accountant

Recruiter at Addison Group – Finance and Accounting The Senior Accountant will support the month-end close process, ensure compliance with GAAP, and strengthen internal controls aligned with SOX requirements. This role partners closely with accounting leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver accurate financial reporting, streamline processes, and support audits.

Key Responsibilities

Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and variance analysis.

Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.

Maintain, document, and enhance internal controls to meet SOX compliance requirements.

Support quarterly and annual external audits by preparing schedules, providing documentation, and resolving audit inquiries.

Review account reconciliations and ensure alignment with corporate policies and GAAP standards.

Identify process gaps and propose improvements to strengthen accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.

Assist with technical accounting research and implementation of new accounting standards.

Partner with FP&A and operational teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions.

Base Pay Range $45.00/hr – $50.00/hr
