At Celerity, you’ll work closely with business owners and their internal teams, primarily via Google Meet, Slack, and email. Most of our clients aren’t finance pros—they rely on us to explain the numbers clearly and guide them with practical, real-world advice. A highly successful staff accountant would look like this:

You support senior accountants by maintaining accurate books, assisting with month‑end close, and preparing reports and reconciliations. Accounting Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage day‑to‑day bookkeeping tasks such as entering transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining accurate records. Handle Accounts Payable / Cash Management: paying bills, entering bills, and assisting with client cash flow. Perform reconciliations for bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts. Assist in preparing financial reports for review by senior accountants and client meetings. Support automation and efficiency efforts—identify areas where clients can benefit from 3rd party apps or workflow improvements. Help onboard new clients by setting up accounts, cleaning up prior books, and supporting transitions. Communicate directly with clients to request information, clarify details, or answer basic accounting questions. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or at least 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting industry roles. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. QuickBooks Online and/or Netsuite proficiency. Comfortable working with technology and cloud‑based accounting tools. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets. Professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity are a must. Background check required.
