Position Summary We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst with deep experience in floorplan (dealer inventory) lending to drive functional requirements and solution design for our core lending platform and adjacent systems and detailed use cases for vendor demonstrations. The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of hands‑on floorplan lending experience and a proven track record producing high‑quality functional business requirements, use cases, flow charts, and functional diagrams in a modern software development environment.

You’ll partner with business stakeholders (Credit, Operations, Collections, Finance) and Technology (Architecture, Engineering, QA) to translate complex lending operations into clear, testable use cases and business requirements to support end‑to‑end delivery—from discovery through UAT and post‑release validation.

Duties / Responsibilities

Requirements & Analysis

Lead discovery sessions; elicit, analyze, and prioritize functional business requirements for floorplan lending features (e.g., dealer onboarding, credit approvals, purchase funding, curtailment schedules, overlines, audit findings, paydowns, collateral management, collections workflows).

Produce comprehensive BRDs/FRDs, process narratives, use cases, and user stories with acceptance criteria.

Map current‑state and target‑state processes; identify gaps, pain points, and control improvements across all business functions.

Process & Design Artifacts

Create flow charts, swimlane diagrams, functional/system context diagrams, data flow diagrams, and sequence diagrams to align business, product, and engineering.

Define functional logic (e.g., curtailment calculations, fee/interest accrual, overline approval workflows, credit policies, audit exception flags, risk score inputs and thresholds).

Collaborate with business professionals to refine user stories that can be presented to prospective vendors for capabilities demonstrations and facilitate audience scoring.

Required Qualifications

5 + years of floorplan (dealer inventory) lending experience in an operational, product, or analytical role.

3–7 years as a Business Analyst (or equivalent) in a software/product delivery environment (Agile or hybrid), producing functional business requirements (BRD/FRD), use cases, flow charts, functional diagrams, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Strong domain knowledge across dealer onboarding/KYC, credit approvals, curtailment scheduling, overline requests/approvals, collateral funding, audit exceptions and remediation, paydowns and settlements, fee/interest logic, risk metrics, and collections workflows.

Proficiency with diagramming and requirements tools (Visio, Confluence/Jira, MS Office/SharePoint).

Experience with floorplan/core lending systems (e.g., Solifi Wholesale or similar), audit programs, and inventory finance integrations (OEMs, audit providers).

Experience working with cross‑functional teams (Credit, Operations, Collections, Finance, Legal/Compliance, Data/Analytics, Architecture/Engineering).

Analytical Rigor – structures problems, quantifies impact, designs testable logic; comfortable with calculations (e.g., curtailments, interest/fees).

Systems Thinking – connects processes, data, and controls across the lending lifecycle; anticipates downstream impacts.

Communication & Facilitation – clear, concise, audience‑aware documentation and meetings; drives alignment and decisions.

Documentation Excellence – produces complete, consistent artifacts (requirements, diagrams, data dictionaries, test cases) with traceability.

Stakeholder Management – builds trust across business and technology; manages priorities and expectations.

Microsoft Word / Excel / PowerPoint – for BRDs, FRDs, data dictionaries, and presentations.

Confluence – for centralized documentation and collaboration.

Jira or Azure DevOps – for user stories, backlog management, and traceability.

SharePoint – for document storage and version control.

Microsoft Visio for process flows, swimlane diagrams, and system context diagrams.
