Job Description Summary The Accounting Specialist will be responsible for providing day to day accounting and financial support to Senior Executives to include preparing financial reports, processing payments, accounts receivable/accounts payable, reconciling accounts and other administrative support as needed. This position is located at headquarters in Saint Augustine, Fl.

Responsibilities

Day-to-day financial tasks including preparing financial reports, processing payments, accounts receivable/accounts payable, reconciling accounts, payroll, general ledger, etc.

Preparing payroll input, processing paychecks/direct deposits and managing tax related filings.

Prepare and process invoices.

Accurately entering financial data in CES' internal systems and maintaining client files.

Coordination of DCAA services, CPAs, and clients.

Generate cost analysis reports.

Responsible for maintaining organized financial records.

Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.Provide administrative support as needed.

Required Qualifications / Skills

Work experience as a Finance Assistant, Finance Officer, or similar role.

Good knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.

Advanced MS Excel skills (creating spreadsheets and using financial functions).

Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).

Organizational and time-management skills.

Attention to detail, with an ability to spot numerical errors.

Experience with (federal) government contracting is preferred.

BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or relevant area.

Preferred Qualifications / Skills

DCAA experience preferred for government contracting company.
