Job Summary
AHF Products is hiring a Production Supervisor for the 1st Shift in West Plains, MO. This role reports to the Yard & Kiln Manager and oversees 30‑40 employees, driving effective leadership, continuous improvement, and coordination of all production activities within the department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, appraising performance, resolving complaints, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

Job Duties
Maintain daily safety contacts with department employees, conduct daily safety audits and meetings, and correct unsafe situations when necessary.
Review production schedules daily, assign hourly workers, ensure training of new personnel, resolve personnel problems, and administer policies and work rules with Human Resources.
Direct and coordinate product flow according to Standard Operating Procedures; schedule production to meet plant requirements set by the Production Manager.
Tours production operations to ensure housekeeping, safety, and material flow are maintained; assess process performance indicators at various stages and make adjustments as needed.
Inspect daily Quality and Supplier Performance Control (SQDC) boards, review standards and variances, identify causes, and discuss findings with the Manager daily.
Inspect and measure parts and products to verify conformance to specifications.
Direct workers in adjusting machines and equipment to repair nonconforming products.
Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and product quality.
Work closely with maintenance to ensure optimal operation of equipment and machinery.
Maintain electronic time and production records for the department and submit required reports to the Manager at shift end.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow all safety guidelines and promote a zero‑injury culture.
Maintain property, plant, and equipment to support safe and efficient operations.
Participate in Continuous Improvement projects and provide suggestions.
Serve as a role model for safety and stop any activity or condition that is dangerous or against policy.
Identify safety issues and take immediate corrective action or escalation.
Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies preferred.
Physical Demands
Occasionally push, pull, carry, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Regular walking, standing, stretching, bending, climbing, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping, and repetitive movements.
Regular speaking, hearing, reading, writing, and comprehension of English.
Must work in a non‑temperature‑controlled environment.
Must work near moving mechanical parts.
Must tolerate moderate noise up to 83 decibels.
Must have adequate vision and ability to focus.
Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles.
Can work in extreme heat, vibration, wet or humid conditions, and high or precarious places.
