Salary Range:

$57,000 - $89,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Develop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs from CAD models and blueprints.

Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD data, and GD&T specifications for measurement strategies.

Perform dimensional inspections of manufactured parts using CMM equipment and analyze results.

Generate comprehensive inspection reports, including deviation analysis and statistical data.

Troubleshoot CMM program errors and optimize existing programs for efficiency and accuracy.

Assist in the design and setup of CMM fixtures to ensure proper part orientation.

Conduct routine calibration checks and basic maintenance on CMM equipment and probes.

Recommended Qualifications

Proficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).

Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering blueprints and specifications.

Proven experience in CMM programming, setup, and operation within a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of metrology principles, measurement techniques, and inspection processes.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with advanced CAD software for fixture design or model manipulation.

Proficiency with other metrology equipment such as vision systems, laser scanners, or structured light systems.

Certified in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), e.g., ASME GDTP.

Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software and data analysis.
