We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the team on‑site in Redmond and take ownership of the company’s day‑to‑day accounting function. This is a hands‑on role that requires someone who is comfortable working independently with limited oversight. The position is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, driving the monthly close, managing inventory and job costing, and preparing clear and accurate financial information for leadership. Experience in a production or manufacturing environment is important.
Skills and Responsibilities: Accounting and Monthly Close
Manage daily general ledger activity and ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
Lead the monthly close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and preparation of supporting schedules.
Maintain balance sheet and income statement schedules and ensure accounts tie out each month.
Review monthly results and help explain changes related to materials, labor, overhead, and operating expenses.
Prepare financial information for leadership in a way that supports timely decision‑making.
Inventory and Cost Accounting
Oversee accounting for raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
Reconcile inventory balances to purchasing, production reports, and the ERP system.
Review work orders, BOMs, and production activity for accuracy and completeness.
Support job costing by validating labor, materials, and overhead used in production.
Work directly with operations to understand cost drivers, scrap, rework, and any variances that affect margin.
Reconciliations and Controls
Complete bank reconciliations and reconcile key balance sheet accounts each month.
Identify issues proactively and resolve them without requiring close supervision.
Help strengthen accounting processes, documentation, and internal controls as the business grows.
ERP and Process Support
Play a key role in the company’s transition from QuickBooks to Odoo, including helping validate the chart of accounts, item setup, and core financial workflows.
Support configuration and ongoing maintenance of Odoo as the primary ERP and accounting platform.
Ensure accounts, items, and production workflows are mapped correctly so that purchasing, inventory, and manufacturing activity flow cleanly into the financials.
Participate in testing and rollout of new processes in Odoo and help identify issues early.
Look for opportunities to simplify or automate manual tasks as the new system comes online.
Cross Functional Work
Partner with operations, purchasing, and production leads to ensure accurate costing and reporting.
Provide financial support to the COO for pricing, forecasting, and operational planning.
Help build a stronger connection between operational activity and financial results.
Attributes for Success:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Five to seven years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or production setting.
Strong understanding of inventory accounting, job costing, and cost of goods sold.
Ability to work independently and handle day‑to‑day responsibilities with limited oversight.
Must be able to work on‑site in Redmond, Oregon.
Experience with ERP systems (Odoo is a plus).
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with both operational and financial data.
High attention to detail and a consistent, organized approach to work.
Team player who works well in a collaborative environment or independently.
