Position Summary We are seeking an
Acquisitions Analyst
to join our Chicago-based team. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role that supports Health Wave Partners’ investment strategy and execution. The analyst will work directly with senior leadership and gain exposure to all stages of the investment lifecycle—from sourcing and evaluation to execution and integration.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills, a passion for healthcare and business growth, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify potential acquisition targets and emerging trends
Perform financial modeling, valuation analysis, and due diligence to evaluate investment opportunities
Support the preparation of investment memos, presentations, and materials for internal and external stakeholders
Maintain the acquisition pipeline and deal tracking database
Assist in coordinating due diligence efforts across internal teams and external advisors
Analyze operational and financial performance of prospective and existing investments
Support post-closing integration, lease‑up tracking, and asset performance monitoring as needed
Contribute to investment committee discussions and help identify ways to enhance asset value and returns
Create portfolio and fund‑level valuation models that will integrate with the Asset Management and Portfolio Management teams
Preferred Qualifications
1-2 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, or real estate investment/valuation
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field
Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, with the ability to develop polished investment presentations and materials
Advanced Excel skills, including real estate financial modeling (DCF, waterfall, sensitivity analysis, etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex ideas clearly and concisely
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with AI tools and data visualization platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Tableau, Copilot) is a plus

Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications
