Start your morning reviewing work orders and scheduling preventive maintenance for critical assets. Calibrate transmitters, flow meters, valves, and sensors to ensure precise control. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical issues across motors, PLC‑based systems, VFDs, relays, breakers, transformers, and UPS units. Jump into urgent line calls—diagnose faults, interpret schematics, and restore operations safely. Update drawings in AutoCAD, document changes, and log findings for future troubleshooting. Partner with mechanics, engineers, project managers, and operators to execute root‑cause fixes and continuous improvement projects. What you'll tackle

Electrical maintenance: inspect, test, install, and repair industrial electrical equipment and lighting. Instrumentation: maintain and calibrate instrumentation devices to spec. Controls: maintain and troubleshoot programmable controls; work confidently with 12/24 VDC and 120 VAC control circuits. Power distribution: read schematics, support industrial distribution, and wire VFDs (120/208/240/480 VAC). Installation: conduit runs, panel work, modifications, and system upgrades. Software: daily use of MS Windows, Excel, AutoCAD, and industrial applications. Documentation: follow manuals, record updates, and maintain accurate schematics. Preventive maintenance: lubrication, adjustments, start‑ups, and operational checks. Safety: apply EPA, OSHA, NFPA 70 standards; verify E‑stops and safety circuits; lead root‑cause analysis. Inventory/admin: manage parts, prepare work documentation, and complete administrative tasks. Continuous improvement: contribute to projects that elevate uptime, quality, and safety. This is an on‑site role at our Chicago, Illinois facility. 1st shift, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime as needed. Pay: $42.75/hr. What you bring

Associate degree in Electronics or Electrical Technology, or a Certificate/Diploma with 2+ years in a manufacturing/industrial setting strongly preferred; or 3+ years of proven hands‑on experience in a related field. Strong grasp of ladder logic, function block programming, PLC hardware, and tag structures. Familiarity with Rockwell Automation software. Working knowledge of industrial networking and control systems. Ability to use hand tools and work in physically demanding environments (bend, twist, lift up to 60 lbs.). Comfort operating in indoor/outdoor industrial areas, including those requiring respirator use. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Excellent understanding of Health & Safety and Lockout/Tagout procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, PowerPoint). Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and flexible schedules as needed. Benefits & growth
