Base Pay Range $118,300.00/yr - $207,100.00/yr

Overview We’re seeking a Senior MEP Cost Estimator with estimating experience ranging in size from $5M-$10B to support our projects and clients across the country. In this key role, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for projects across all divisions, including mechanical (plumbing, HVAC, fire sprinkler (parameter ests), electrical, specialty systems). You'll ensure quantity takeoff, pricing, parameter estimating, and support strategic decisions and client satisfaction. You'll review design documents, proposals, specifications, drawings, attend design development meetings, and assess the risk and cost impacts required to develop the estimates. You’ll collaborate with knowledgeable and supportive teams as you prepare estimates by reviewing and comprehending scope documents, developing project work breakdown structures, calculating complete scope of work take‑offs, assist contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors, and apply construction means and method.

Key Responsibilities

Develop capital cost estimates for projects.

Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.

Review and validate change orders.

Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.

Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs.

Attend project meetings as required.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in all project phases.

Experience hard bid / negotiated general contractor experience.

Knowledge of MS Office products, Sage Timberline, MII estimating software, HCSS Heavy Bid and Blue Beam a plus.

Must be a United States citizen.

Ability to obtain a DOE and other Federal security clearance.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.

At least 5-15 years of estimating and construction experience related to Building and Vertical Construction.

Alternative delivery procurement experience.Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk and schedule.

Certifications such as a CPE, CEP, CCP, or CCM are a plus.
