Base pay range $150,000.00/yr – $180,000.00/yr

We are seeking a Senior Marine Cost Estimator with experience in capital cost estimating for projects ranging from $25 M to $25 B. Projects include piers, dry docks, flood‑walls, breakwaters and other heavy civil development. The role is primarily remote, ideally located near a local office.

This role will review design documents, proposals, specifications, drawings, attend design‑development meetings and assess the risk and cost impacts required to develop estimates. You will work with a supportive team to prepare estimates by developing project work breakdown structures, calculating scope take‑offs, assisting contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors, applying construction means and methods, and calculating indirect field and owner’s costs.

Responsibilities

Develop capital cost estimates for heavy‑civil/marine type projects.

Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.

Review and validate change orders.

Interface with external clients in presentations of capital costs.

Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs.

Attend project meetings as required.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

10–15 years of estimating and construction experience.

Proficient use of MS Office products and estimating software(s).

U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field.

Experience with MII (MCACES 2nd generation) estimating software.

Experience with HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software.

Alternative delivery procurement experience.

Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk and schedule.

Certifications such as CPE, CEP, CCP, PMP, or CCM.
