Your impact We’re seeking a

Senior Cost Estimator

with estimating experience ranging in size from $5M-$10B to support our projects and clients across the country. In this key role, you'll be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for projects across all divisions, including civil, structural, architectural for Vertical / Building construction. We'll lean on you to ensure quantity takeoff, pricing and parameter estimating, and supporting strategic decisions and client satisfaction. You'll also review design documents, proposals, specifications, drawings, attend design development meetings and assess the risk and cost impacts required to develop the estimates. You'll collaborate with knowledgeable and supportive teams, as you prepare estimates by reviewing and comprehending scope documents, developing project work breakdown structures, calculating complete scope of work take‑offs, assist contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors, apply construction means and method.

Develop capital cost estimates for projects.

Review contractor proposals for various procurement types.

Review and validate change orders.

Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs.

Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs.

Attend project meetings as required.

Here’s what you’ll need

High school diploma or equivalent.

Progressive and successful cost estimating experience in all projects phases.

Experience hard bid /negotiated general contractor experience.

Knowledge of MS Office products, Sage Timberline, MII estimating software, HCSS Heavy Bid and Blue Beam a plus.

Must be a United States citizen.

Ability to obtain a DOE and other Federal security clearance.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Bachelors’ degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.

At least 5‑15 years of estimating and construction experience related to Building and Vertical Construction.

Understanding of the relationship between cost, risk and schedule.

Certifications such as a CPE, CEP, CCP, or CCM are a plus.

The base salary range for this position is $103,000.00 to $156,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
