Base pay range This position is a remote workstation location based on the selected candidate’s home address, which can be in any county in Kentucky.

Job Duties

Conducts fact-finding interviews and investigations on disputed unemployment insurance claims.

Writes quality notice of determination and maintains time lapse standards.

Determines eligibility of benefits and employer chargeability.

Informs claimants and employers of their rights and responsibilities under the Wagner-Peyser Act and state and federal unemployment laws and regulations.

Interprets and analyzes unemployment insurance laws and regulations, as well as federal unemployment program response letters and Unemployment Insurance Commission precedent setting decisions and applies them to the decisions regarding complex disputed unemployment insurance claims.

Answers inquiries from claimants, employers and internal customers.

Establishes overpayments, provides additional information for prosecution and maintains assignment data for weekly reports.

Advises and assists claimstaker and fellow adjudicators.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Communication – the ability to communicate clearly and effectively verbally and in writing.

Minimum Requirements Education:

Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.

Experience, training, or skills:

Three years of experience in reviewing, monitoring, determining eligibility for, and/or administering employment service or unemployment insurance programs, or experience in education, public administration, business, human services, military, human resources or a related field.

Substitute education for experience:

A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.

Substitute experience for education:

Work experience in workforce programs such as WIOA, employment services, and/or unemployment insurance programs, or experience in education, public administration, business, human services, military, human resources or a related field will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

NONE.

Working Conditions Work is typically performed in an office setting. Travel is required.
