Human Resources Generalist
role. This position supports HR operations across our manufacturing workforce and plays a key role in employee relations, compliance, and people operations.
Position Overview
The Human Resources Coordinator provides hands‑on HR support for both hourly and salaried employees in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role supports employee relations, onboarding, training, benefits administration, safety compliance, and HR documentation. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), detail‑oriented, people‑focused, and motivated to grow into an HR Generalist role.
Key Responsibilities HR & Employee Support
Serve as a frontline HR contact for manufacturing employees; provide guidance and elevate issues as needed.
Support employee relations, including attendance, performance, conduct, and workplace concerns.
Assist with investigations, documentation, and corrective action processes.
Onboarding, Training & Offboarding
Coordinate onboarding, including new hire paperwork, orientation, and safety training.
Track and maintain required certifications and training records.
Support offboarding processes and exit documentation.
Leave Administration & Compliance
Track FMLA, medical leaves, and other employee leave requests.
Maintain accurate personnel files and HR records in compliance with company policy and labor laws.
Assist with HR reporting, audits, and compliance reviews.
Safety & Risk Management
Support safety documentation, OSHA compliance, and workers’ compensation processes.
Assist with driver record recertifications and operational compliance tracking.
Promote a safety‑first environment across all manufacturing operations.
Engagement & Communication
Coordinate employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and morale initiatives.
Support internal HR communications, announcements, and policy updates.
Participate in structured development to prepare for promotion into a
Human Resources Generalist
role.
Gain exposure to employee relations, compliance, training programs, and HR strategy execution.
Qualifications Experience
2–5 years of experience in Human Resources, HR Administration, or a related field required.
Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial environment strongly preferred.
Prior involvement with onboarding, compliance, training coordination, or employee relations required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
Language Requirement
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Skills
Strong understanding of HR fundamentals and employment regulations.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across diverse employee groups.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a production‑driven environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office; HRIS or ERP experience preferred.
High level of discretion and professionalism with confidential information.
Physical Requirements
Combination of office work and frequent presence on the manufacturing floor.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs.
Must be able to tolerate manufacturing conditions including noise, odors, and temperature variations.
