Human Resources and Administration Manager
Position Summary
The Human Resources & Administrative Manager leads all HR and administrative functions for the Indianapolis manufacturing plant. This role supports a busy, high‑growth factory environment and is responsible for recruitment, employee relations, training, compliance, and day‑to‑day office and facility administration.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary HR leader for a 24/7 manufacturing operation.
Partner with plant management to provide guidance on workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and organizational development.
Lead HR policy implementation, ensuring alignment with corporate HR strategy and local laws.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
Manage full‑cycle recruitment for hourly, manufacturing, sales & marketing, financial & administrative roles.
Manage international talent, including visa processing, onboarding and ongoing support of FTE and contract professionals.
Develop sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates in a competitive labor market.
Oversee new‑hire onboarding, orientation, and training compliance.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment for a diverse workforce across all plant departments.
Address employee concerns professionally, ensuring fairness and consistency.
Support conflict resolution, coaching, and progressive discipline processes.
Lead engagement initiatives, recognition programs, company culture events, and communication activities.
Training & Workforce Development
Identify training needs and develop programs for management team, supervisors, leads, and frontline employees.
Support skills development, safety training, cross‑training, and leadership training.
Maintain training documentation for compliance and audits.
Administrative Management & Facility Support
Oversee administrative functions including office management, reception, purchasing of office supplies, and general administrative services.
Coordinate plant‑wide communications, visitor management, and meeting logistics.
Support facility maintenance requests and work closely with EHS and operations on site upkeep.
Manage vendor relationships for administrative services (cleaning, security, office suppliers).
Assist with travel arrangements, event planning, and document control.
Supervise HR coordinators, administrative assistants, or other support staff as applicable.
Develop strong, service‑oriented administrative processes that meet plant needs.
Promote professionalism, confidentiality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, including 2+ years in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with HR compliance, employee relations, and recruiting.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
